Include the ability to copy password protected PDF documents

I purchased a book about how to spot fake stamps after my daughter became interested in stamp collection (and which got me into collecting as well). unfortunately the book turned out to be in French. I wanted to get a simple translation by copying it into Googles translator, but becasue the PDF was password protected I was unable to copy the book.
